nice, friendly likable, all that good stuff, then has a history of stealing cars, stealing from friends, cheating on his ex, left his ex with a 500 dollar hotel bill, lies to girls to get sex, can be very violent if necessary. does it make him even more dangerous if he is handsome?

Yes this is a dangerous person, he sounds like he has a two faced air Kinda like jekyl and hyde
Can Be Nice and Sweet but then Without warning the violence happens
That kind of person will never change unless they want to
I was in a marriage that the guy was similar to that and i got out of there with my life
Looks Mean Nothing A lot of Times that's how they hide the nasty side
Although to be fair i have seen men with anger issues that have changed but i will be honest with you it's VERY RARE

I'd stay clear of him even if he was the most gorgeous man alive. You dont want to get in a situation that could harm you. You hear stories of perfectly nice men to begin with then suddenly turning and beating their partner, then your stuck in a violent relationship.

Dangerous and not a person to spend time with, handsome or not. Handsome would make him more dangerous yes, because it's beguiling and he'd have more opportunities with the ladies.
