My friend has just bought a new pc she WMP 11 installed in it which I have had to re-install but it has'nt solved the problem which is every time she tries to play a dvd it keeps coming up with a messsage saying
WMP cannot play dvd video you might need to adjust windows display setting in control panel and then try lowering yr screen resolution and colour settings..
which I have done but it does not make any difference can anyone help as we live in rural Spain we are trying to sort it ourselves before we call the company she bought the pc from as he is 80 miles away.

Don`t adjust the screen resolution unless you know what you are doing.
You may need a codec, go here http://www.free-codecs.com/ and download this "FFDShow MPEG-4"
It is free and works. I have it on my PC :-)

No Thats incorrect what's happening Is domicile windows does not incorporate DVD formats In There application So the two Get the final formats Or Use third celebration application those Are the only thank you to repair This concern... And the blunders You practice In That %ability which you have another courses working In history that are ingesting You unfastened RAM reminiscence And to repair This Hit CTRL+ALT+DEL Then Use the activity supervisor to close the surplus Crap Thats applying Up all your reminiscence

you need codecs just google you shall find......
