I thought it would be interesting if some of us could post a link to our favorite religious music to share.
I'm an atheist, by the way...but I absolutely love Matisyahu's song "King Without a Crown." For those who don't know, Matisyahu is a Hasidic Jew...and an amazing singer. Here's the link. Enjoy.

And please add a link of your own so we can all be introduced to something new. =)

Every Sperm is Sacred
From: The Meaning Of Life
by the Monty Python Team
There are Jews in the world.
There are Buddhists.
There are Hindus and Mormons, and then
There are those that follow Mohammed, but
I've never been one of them.
I'm a Roman Catholic,
And have been since before I was born,
And the one thing they say about Catholics is:
They'll take you as soon as you're warm.
You don't have to be a six-footer.
You don't have to have a great brain.
You don't have to have any clothes on. You're
A Catholic the moment Dad came,
Because
Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is great.
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite irate.
Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is great.
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite irate.
Let the heathen spill theirs
On the dusty ground.
God shall make them pay for
Each sperm that can't be found.
Every sperm is wanted.
Every sperm is good.
Every sperm is needed
In your neighbourhood.
Hindu, Taoist, Mormon,
Spill theirs just anywhere,
But God loves those who treat their
Semen with more care.
Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is great.
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite irate.
Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is good.
Every sperm is needed
In your neighbourhood!
Every sperm is useful.
Every sperm is fine.
God needs everybody's.
Mine! And mine! And mine!
Let the Pagan spill theirs
O'er mountain, hill, and plain.
God shall strike them down for
Each sperm that's spilt in vain.
Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is good.
Every sperm is needed
In your neighbourhood.
Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is great.
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite iraaaaate!

Can't find an online link, but I heard a version of O Holy Night by Aoife O'Donovan and I was spellbound by her voice and simple beauty of the song.
Funny to use "spellbound" when talking about a religious song LOL

I am an atheist (from France).
I don't have any attraction to religious-spiritual songs, certainly because I don't resonate much with religious-spiritual lyrics.
BUT I am a pipe-organ player and there are lots of explicitly religious-spiritual pieces that I really like.
For example:
"God among us": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyGAfTuJQD4
"Apparition of the Eternal Church"
from the catholic French composer Olivier Messiaen.
Lots of pipe-organ pieces are written by christian composers and I love lots of them. I consider those pieces are spiritual "songs" without lyrics.
Here is a video of a Prelude & Fugue in E minor BWV??? composed by the very christian JS Bach, played by a great French pipe-organist in Weingarten, Germany. I think it is a typical pipe-organ masterpiece one can hear in great catholic churches in western Europe. Quite spiritual in my opinion:
