Just wondering how bad does it hurt

Oh its absolute agony. You'll just keel over. You might even pass out.

Think about it. Every 14 year old girl on your block is just dying to have a lip piercing and half of the 16 year olds have got one. How bad could it really be?
It is a needle going through your lip for a few split seconds. It's not comfortable, but obviously people are not dropping like flies from it. The aftercare is the most uncomfortable part of the process and that can be handled with a couple of tylenol and some ice.
Keep your piercing squeaky clean and follow your piercer's directions to the letter. Not your friends'. Not some guy you met at the gas station. Not someone on a message board. YOUR PIERCER'S DIRECTIONS. If you forget them, look at your care sheet they sent you home with. If your dog ate it, call them.
Infections hurt, are nasty, and can be dangerous. So CLEAN YOUR PIERCING. As long as you can follow directions it won't hurt that much.

Hi,
For those types of piercing, what normally happens is firstly, they put some kind of numbing spray on the outside, which is good but not great. then you have an anesthetic spray on the inside. The spray REALLY numbs your mouth (and for about 1 hour after, I had to go to the haidressers after, she couldnt tell a word i was saying!). So after all this, it really doesnt hurt that much.
The tiniest bit of pain is all part of the experience anyway!!!

Mine didn't hurt at all. I loved the feeling....its like when you cut into a watermelon...I guess. But I felt no pain during the piercing. Only after when I was talking up a storm did it get very sore.

the healing is always the sucky part.the piercing itself isnt that bad...just dont psych yourself out and get scared. if you tense up itll be alot worse than it really is.

oh christ it hurts a lot. when the guy does it blood might squirt out. it will be like saw IV. then it'll be infected for like a year and it will be excruciating pain.
