How do you change the transparency of the font on photoshop?

i want to put a signature on a picture of mine

Pleaaase help !!!

* i use adobe photoshop CS2, version 9.0 ~ For MAC

Make sure that the text layer that you wish to edit is selected in the "layer Pallet" and then use the "Layer Opacity Slider".
