beautiful church - very active
* Saint Thomas Church / Fifth at 53rd
(Episcopal), nice church
* The Church of Saint Paul the Apostle
Columbus at 60th (Roman Catholic / just south of Lincoln Center)
* Saint Bartholmew's / Park & 51st
Episcopal
* Central Presbyterian / Park & 64th
very pretty
* The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine / Amsterdam at 111th St. / Episcopal / gorgeous, active
* Marble Collegiate Church / Fifth at 29th St / very active all thru Advent / Dec 24th on CBS/TV at 11:30 pm

i'm no longer Catholic yet i've got been to lifeless night service on Christmas Eve and it became constantly alluring. The service, all of the candles and yuletide lighting fixtures fixtures on the bushes plus all of the Pointsettas.

St Pats is ticketed seating only. They are "sold out" months ahead of time. People tell me St. Johns is too.

St. Pat's, they have midnight mass every Christmas.
