she's ok. i personally don't think she's as bad as people r putting her off 2 be, but she does have some flaws with the whole jr situation. o, and btw, she didn't let go of jr, he choose 2 go cuz she wouldn't give him part of the company, which i think is kinda wrong in a way. but let's face it, we all make mistakes, and she may not realize that now, but i'm sure she will soon.

I think Theresa has had to stand by some very difficult discussions. I think she has been a very successful business woman in a sport that many consider a mans world. I believe she has reasons for her companies standards. She started and worked in this business a lot longer then most give her credit for. I am glad to see some acknowledge her as being the reason for the start of DEI and the success it has had. I don't think of Theresa as an absentee owner. Not all the owners are at the tracks. And some are only at some races. Few are at most. I think Theresa keeps her eye on the ball where she feels most comfortable. I feel she is a tremendous asset to NASCAR and wish DEI to prosper. They are truly competitive and even made the top 12! Not all teams can say that, whether their owner is at the track or not.

I don't know her personally so I can't make a true determination; however, from all of the stories about how she treated Dale Jr and his sister Kelly when they moved in with Dale Sr. and her recent behavior which caused Dale Jr to leave the family business, I would assume she isn't the nicest person out there.

I am a Junior fan, but I am not going to hold a grudge against her and call her Evil. There are 2 sides to every story and then there is truth. Junior himself even came out and said that the differences btw him and Teresa are btw them, and not to bad mouth her because his siblings have to edure the wrath so to speak.

I have no real problem with her. i think Junior Nation is a bit blinded with emotion to have an objective opinion.

I'm not sure being an owner works for her, but she people quickly forget how Dale Sr. credited her for a lot of his success.

I like Junior, but I think he was a bit of a punk about all this. Just my opinion.

Yes I do...she's a smart business woman. She and Dale Sr. built DEI from the ground up. I think it was a good idea to let Dale go and have DEI move on.

I give her props for standing her ground.

At first I didn't. Then watched the Dale movie and began to like her. I know people think she's a witch. But she did help build DEI. I think she'll kick herself in the butt if none of the DEI drivers are successful next year.

Shes an amazing woman that paid her dues to NASCAR 10 times over. As someone mentioned before if you watched the Dale movie you would understand. She has forgot more about NASCAR then HARVICK has accomplished. She is given credit for making Daytona the spectacle it is today. It is her that made Sr and Jr the billions of dollars from merchandise sales. Yes it was her that said to her husband "we can make the Earnhardt name bigger then the moon". And she did. It is her responsible for Daytona USA as well as all those souvenir trucks the haters buy all that worthless crap at. She doesn't need to be at the track. That's the job that Siegal and the other guy get paid for. Isn't it a coincidence that most the haters are NASCAR newbies over the last several years. You just don't understand or get it. She didn't drive JR out. Jr drove himself out of Dodge. Get over it.

Liz I would just like to say there are 14 answers, above mine
and all of them seem to be Teresa Earnhardt Bashers,
So I`ll just say Dale Sr. liked -or loved her, and that all that matters-to me and to the people that are so ready to slit her throat ,,,
you probably need to read a copy of Dale Sr.`s will,,

Personally, I don't really care for her. She's been an absentee owner ever since 2001, and she's not really been supportive of her own company. While I admit she's got a lot of weight on her shoulders I really don't think letting Jr go was a good move. It's hard to have Dale Earnhardt Industries without either Dale Earnhardt.

I used to, but Dale's death took a toll on the relationship between her and his kids before their marriage. From experience I have found out how nasty some stepparents or even live-in partners can be to the suddenly-deceased's blood relatives.
DEI may or may not suffer from it. Teresa did help start DEI but Dale meant it to be for his kids and he would not approve of Teresa driving Dale Jr out of the stable.

I admire Teresa. I'm glad she didn't back down and hand over her company to her whiny, spoiled stepson and the puppet master that he calls his sister. Teresa helped build DEI. Dale willed 100% of it to her. Dale had said many times that he was in debt before he met Teresa and even joked that when she was done, the bank owed him money.
