Mrs. Bruso is having osteoporosis defined by having extremly low bone density and the presence of pathologic fractures of the vertebrae. You'll find the rest if you google for "osteoporosis".

This is typical of an older person with osteoporosis. There's not much a person can do except meds for pain. Fosomax and other bone treatments can be tried but I wouldn't expect results at her age.
Her bone density is beyond help other then comfort and, pain relief. Keep her off her feet and get some therapy started to prevent bed sores and atrophy.

It comes with age for most of us.

Osteoporosis can be eased by a daily treatment of Caltrate-D tablets and a calcium-rich diet. There is a very good way to get this by juicing in a good juice extractor so that the full benefit of the nutrient is obtained. Only the pure rich enzymes would be getting into her system immediately and she would experience results quickly.

Since she has a fractured hip, I believe only an orthopedist can determine properly, if it would be safe for her to do any form of exercise at present. Any exertion in her condition can be detrimental if not done right.

Osteoporosis, I believe at her age there really isn't a treatment besides being very careful. When your younger taking calcium helps our bones to be stronger and also exercise help strengthen our bones.....I guess she could start walking as an exercise.....couldnt hurt.

Ostoprosis. Poor circulation and harding of the arteries. Get her on some vitiam supplements now, and have her do strenghth training with small weights . High blood pressure may be a factor.
