Feel guilty about porn. Help?

I'm not addicted, but I do like to watch it. I can go a while without, but inevitably I look again. What do I do? Whats the point of calling myself a christian if I'm just going to keep sinning? I hate this.

Its ok, it is sort of an addiction when you have to go back to it from time to time. Try to get into other activities, dont spend time alone with yourself. Socialize, instead of sittin at home and watchin porn. IF you try to make up for the past sins, God will definitely forgive you.

The human body it such a beautiful thing to look at, stop feeling guilty and enjoy the visual pleasures it brings!!! I believe society makes so many rules and regulations that go way too far.

Umm, don't worry about it. I look at it too - it's adult entertainment. As for calling yourself Christian - that's fine as well, no-one is perfect. The Bible says you're basically forgiven, the big guy upstairs knows when you're going to screw up and knows if you're going to feel bad about it. I would stop stressing out becuase its basically "Yup - you're gonna do this at this time and I've known about it since the beginning of time".

Oh, my friend, I know your struggle. Imagine how it is for me as I AM an addict. I am trying to overcome it, though, and the ONLY way you can do it is get into the Word and pray like crazy. When you start thinking of it, bring up a Scripture verse. "I co do all things through Christ Who strengthens me." "It is no longer I who lives, but Christ Who lives in me." "Know ye not that your bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, Whom ye have of God and that ye are not your own? For you are bought with a price! Therefore glorify God in your body and in your mind which are God's." Anything! Try to find some Christian music and listen to it until you memorize it, then when you feel the need, think of one of the songs. Think of hymns you know. Do anything you can to get your mind off of it and onto God. God can, and will, deliver you from it, but it's very, very hard (as any addiction or near-addiction is), and takes absolute faith in Him. Find someone you respect and trust and confess to them and pray with them about it. Let them be a person of accountability to you, so that when you feel the need, you can talk to them and they know your struggle and can help you with it. If they ask you how you're doing with it, don't lie if you've slipped back into it, and then they can pray with you about it.

The biggest problem with overcoming it is that even when you're not sitting in front of it, the images still run through your mind, and this is why it's absolutely essential that you pray about it, and TRULY give it over to God, acknowledging that YOU cannot overcome it on your own. It is SO hard to do, but so necessary.

Father, I pray you to strengthen this friend's heart and mind who is struggling now as I have also struggled. Let your Word fill his heart and mind, and help him to take up your armor so that he can stand against the attacks that are going to come from the devil to cause him to stumble. Father, I pray you forgive him, as he is seeking help to stand, and let him forgive himself, both now and in the future, for the times he has and will fall. Fill his sight with things that are pure and worthy, and his mind with things that are excellent and beneficial, and his heart with your Spirit. We know that through Jesus we are more than conquerers, and I know You can lead him to victory if only he will follow you. In Jesus' name I ask this.
