This is one of those things I classify in the dubious column, i.e. I admit it is possible they exist, but I really doubt it. Wikipedia (one of my favorite sites on the whole web!) has researched this extensively and has a very fair and balanced page:

Chem trails?? Do you mean con trails, the lines left in the sky after a jet passes?
These are vapor trails from the engine exhaust. The time they last depends on the relative amount of vapor in the atmosphere. More vapor means the trails persist for longer.

Not knowing what you mean by chem trails makes it difficult to answer but if what you referring to is the contrail in the sky from aircraft then the chemical trails you are worrying about are mainly water. Stopping them would require flying lower, slower and doing away with jet and turboprop engines; this would increase the actual pollution in the air so not a good choice, noise levels would increase and it make trips longer and more uncomfortable. The trails are mainly water condensation forming as the hot exhaust comes into contact with the wetter, cooler air outside-something like a confined foggy streak, as they cool off the after is re-absorbed into the atmosphere and they go away. They are found in all aircraft but jet/turbine engines are more commonly seen based on exhaust temperature and volume of heated air.

These are not chem trails, they are con trails
made by a high flying jet and they are vapors
left by the exhaust of the jet's engines and they
vaporize in a couple of hours depending on the
water vapor in the atmosphere!!

And the military connection to your question would be what? seeing 99% of trails in the sky are the result of passenger and freight flights which are leaving there own hugh carbon footprint on the planet.

There is a difference between Chem-trails, and Contrails.

Contrails are harmless vapor trails.

Chem-trails are not harmless.

"Chem trails" do not exsist, no one is making them, and you can not stop something that you never started.

chemtrails are sheer NONSENSE, all they are are condensation trails, frozen water vapor, left by jet-powered planes... they can be stopped by banning air traffic at high altitudes...

They can be stopped by taking the prescriptions your doctor has provided.
