Time for more law abiding citizens to be armed. And if you live in the UK thats why we are citizens and you are a 'subject'.

You know why that is, if you make something available then people will use it. Also the population is massive in comparison to the Uk, to top it the culture dictates it, guns have been a part of our culture long before Americas, we were here first..lol It is a matter of bravery on the part of government and self restraint on the Uks part that has seen crime of this type kept low, however gang violence and drug culture may see this change, especailly now we have half of Europe relocating here.

Of the numbers report, respectively how many are "good guys?" Of the ones in the UK, most are good people being shot by bad people, as they are the only ones that have guns. In the UK the good people are not allowed to have firearms, in most cases, whereas the bad guys, don't care about the laws. In the US, Bad guys shoot other bad guys, and the good guys, are allowed to shoot the bad guys. This skews your argument a little, as the US has the right of self defense.

The FBI reported around 11,000 gun related homicides in 2006. Compare that to the 43,000 people killed yearly in vehicle accidents and tell me that guns should be banned and cars shouldn't.

Wow, I would think tons.
Google it and see.
I don't think you will get an exact, but a close one and that is if it is "reported" as you mentioned.
How many are not reported?
