Like animals have no souls (if any one can find a scripture stating they do, i'd like to see it), or we do not die and become angels with wings,,,and other such things. i was taught that the WHOLE Bible is the truth..Not just what i like. They have other religions for that and if u cant find one that believes what u want, u can start a whole new one...

Because Christians don't follow all of the "law". When Jesus came things changed. Basically if it is not in the NT or part of be good to each other and love God above all else, it doesn't really count anymore, like the dietary laws, sabbath keeping etc.
Actually Peter Priesthood you are wrong the Bible was not "put together in the 4th century". It had already been "put together"
There were people trying to add things to the Bible just like there are people who are doing that today. There was a counsel to decide what was heresy and they threw out the junk...ex. Gospel of Mary which was written by someone other than Mary severel years after her death, a gospel is a personal account ...
Anyway a little more research on your part would be good...
Actually the Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. The Christian will not face that kind of judgement either.

We're all guilty of selective hearing and selective vision to varying degrees..it's also called Denial. We run the risk of error when only one statement, or a collection of statements is declared as the Absolute Truth. We have finite minds that will never comprehend the infinite. No Human knows the Absolute Truth absolutely. To each his own I say, and lets all meet in the middle and celebrate this gift called life instead of fighting over differing human perceptions and differing human interpretations of what we believe to be Absolute Truth. If we did this we would discover we have much in common. We all bleed, lets start there...

Christians do not believe nonsense found outside the Bible, such as humans becoming angels with wings. People who believe that may call themselves Christians, but they are not. They may claim to "believe in Christ" but that is only to believe in a fact - and the devil himself "believes in Christ" as he knows Him personally.
A true Christian follows Christ as his Lord & Savior from sin, he follows the Bible as the Word of God, and he does not believe in the things you've mentioned.
By definition, Christianity is Christ and His teachings, it is not anything outside of that, no matter what some people claim. The Crusades, for example, were done in the name of Christianity - but they were not Christian. I can claim to be your representative and do evil deeds, but without your blessing, I am a liar or deceived.
Remember, Christ claimed to be God on earth and said He was the only way to know God, the only way to heaven. Get serious. Read the Bible.

No one has a soul, they are a soul......In the Bible, “soul” is translated from the Hebrew ne′phesh and the Greek psykhe′. Bible usage shows the soul to be a person or an animal or the life that a person or an animal enjoys.

Because most people that claim to be part of any group do not have the inner strength to go 100% at anything.
A great many of these people are attracted to religion for the crutch it provides them in weak times.

its because christians believe themselves to be the only "true" religion, the only way to salvation!Interpret things the way you see it and not how others force you to believe. In the end its up to your soul.if its good you go to a happy place("heaven if you like") if its bad you go to hell.By the way,I'm a christian

I have to agree-- personally one of my favorites is when people die & "go to heaven" -- well according to the Bible-- there is only one Judgement day & I don't think people are going to heaven then come back here for Judgement day... Jesus told us "The Dead know NOTHING" ... But majority believe they are in heaven alert & keeping an eye on the family members on earth.... Nice to think about-- just not Biblical...........

I'm not a Christian myself, but I have to admit this is an unfair question. The same could be asked of anybody, christian, muslim, atheist, black, white, whatever.

Many stories have been added to our tradition.
If it isn't provable from the Bible, we ought not believe it...concerning matters the Bible addresses.
Still, I have met Christians that don't want to believe certain things that are in fact provable doctrines in the Bible.
The only thing I can think of, is that they can't understand it, so they just ignore it instead of trying any further to understand.

lmao. I was having a fight with someone on WOW about dogs going to heaven. (Yesterday actually) The player was insulting Atheists so I confronted him with the whole, 'Your dog is just going to die because he has no soul' bit. Didn't want to believe it.
I also was taught that the Bible is the WHOLE truth. There is nothing I have read that states animals have souls.
