or is this even possible? would the process be disrupted if there was a camera and crew present? due to all the scientifically impossible things that supposedly happen during exorcisms, the broadcast should be able to convert a considerable number of non believers.. right?? and the church could very well profit from this endeavor.. so why don't they do this?

peter priesthood... why dont they capture multiple occurrences of spiritual possessions and show the ones that are convincing.. there's bound to at least be one that'll succeed

lostprop.. they could pixillate the faces of the afflicted.... and the family might just consent to it if the church tells them "it'll help the rest of the populace and persuade them to be virtuous for the devil truly exists",etc.,etc.

don o, i wouldn't believe in it but there's sure to be gullible and capricious people around who will.. the church will have proof other than the bible (which doesn't really appeal to the lazy people)

michael c, since you seem to be an avid churchgoer, you should notice the no. of people attending mass to be dwindling.. yes the church does need people back celebrating mass. that's precisely my point. some sort of evidence similar to this could be just the thing to do it. the lazy could change their ways if they become exposed to proof.

They dont do that because people will get even lazier. They have services o T.V. Joel Osteen, and this? We need people to be in the church. If we have these things out of church, the lost and the lazy will not bother going

You're asking why the Church doesn't televise the two exorcisms done on Mother Teresa in India in the last five years of her life at her request?
Well that, like statistics on child crimes, is an European Catholic Papal trade secret.

the church is still in toddler stage of development.
other issue is.
demons are not limited by physical things.
example movies, books of demonic support ect..can transfer from screen to the tv watcher !!!
i've read email in some witch/demonic site thought i could withness ..HA..
demons came into my house! and attack me..ect.
SO...playing with unseen things..one need to know..what they are getting into
and THIS is strongly WHY
it is not on TV..or radio.
for electronic wires computer tv, ect they can travel.
example..do you have an assign guardian spirit? ok..that one side...do you have the other one from the other side? sure we do.
they seek to possess or oppressed us.
with lies..deception..that we believe.
this is WHY
love cast out FEAR.
when we fear..door open.
it's all start as a THOUGHT.
before one murder or rape or pervert or kill self..steal..lie ...ect.
they seek enterance through the mind of human to possess the mind or body..and/or fill up there darkness into our spirit..weak or empty.
if we are full of Christ..the word.
evil spirit can't enter in.'yet'
if we doubt..evil apready presence.

First of all, demon possession is a complete load.
Second, there are privacy issues; what demon-possessed person is going to consent to having their exorcism broadcast?
Third, exorcisms can be violent, at least according to the movies, so that kind of thing is not likely to be allowed on TV.

An exorcism, as most believe, does not take an hour, or even a day or so. It can take months for it to be successful...even years.
Sometimes exorcism are not successful at all.

I have seen one. The man agreed to it and even though it took hours, the film showed the struggle the demon was making to stay within the man, but in the end he gave up and came out.

Even if exorcisms were televised would you believe what you saw? I doubt it; if you wanted to believe it you would, if not you would say it was all faked for the cameras.

Better question: Why doesn't the church get psychologists/psychiatrists as consultants in their exorcisms and actually treat the "posessed?"

If they televised it--------people would know that it is just a bunch of mumbo jumbo, and not real.
