Is it possible for people who are together here on Earth, to be together in Heaven? Also, even though there will be much love and understanding in Heaven, will we still feel the need to hug and kiss eachother or is that just a physical desire that wouldnt matter in Heaven?

The love you will experience in Heaven will far exceed anything you have ever experienced on earth, because it will be a perfect love without selfishness. The love you feel for your relative will be equal with the love you feel for the person you never met on earth.

I think you can be together with someone you knew in this life, if you want to. Why not?

WAKE UP PEOPLE!! The question does not mention anything about married people or marriage in Heaven. It asks about "lovers" and the possibility of being together with people you were together with on earth. Some of you need to get off your high horse and stop being so defensive and offensive.

For my "thumbs-down" friend:
So, you think that you're going to get to Heaven and God is going to say, "NO!!! You cannot be with that person over there!"? Yep! you've got it all figured out.

Your question is valid. The simple answer is yes, there is the real possibility of earthly relationships continuing into the eternities. In fact, that is what God intends for us. We are taught that the same sociality we enjoy here will continue in the eternities but that depends upon our own worthiness to inherit the kingdom prepared for us by our Savior. Just as Jesus taught that there is a great gulf fixed between the rich man and Lazarus, the beggar, so also, there will be a gulf between the righteous and the wicked.
Thus, in order to partake of the sacred blessings of being sealed together as husband and wife and as parent and child throughout the eternities, we need to live worthy of that blessing. We need to have faith in Christ, repent of our sins, follow His teachings and commandments, enduring faithfully to the end, so that His atonement can work on our behalf. Jesus gave the sealing powers to Peter and His apostles. Those same powers were restored to Joseph Smith by Peter, James and John and also by Elijah the prophet of the Old Testament.
Thus, we believe and claim the privilege of sealing families together within the temples of the Lord so that the love you speak of can and will continue into and throughout the eternities as resurrected beings.

Jesus defeated death. His body was resurected, and He gave us that gift, unconditionally to all human beings bodies will be resurected. Let me itallicize ALL.

So bodily habits, addictions, and pleasures will be dealt with, untill we learn to master them. The bodies will be glorified, so we may not be as stinky.

You say lovers, not spouse. Living together will be forbiden, unless you are married. Only marriages preformed with the proper authority are valid in the next life. There will be marriages going on up there, but again, with the proper authority.

Mormon doctrine teaches that marriage can be eternal; that it lasts beyond the grave. We can live together in the same social relationships in heaven as we do here on earth.
A requirement for eternal marriage, however, is to have the marriage performed in a holy temple of God, a place where eternal covenants are made. Mormon doctrine teaches that a marriage performed in a temple, then, can be eternal.

Yes it is very possible. The Mormons are the only ones who teach it though. Other Christians will say no.

Yes of course! It only makes sense. God is a God of love after all.

Mormons teach this doctrine. That is what occurs in our temple. Sealing families together forever!

Isn't that wonderful?!

I don't know but I do know that when a person dies it is often a great comfort to the bereaved partner to believe that they will be together one day.
