I am looking for something I can organize all my photos into albums and then burn them on a cd... and if possible is there a way to do this without having to use the same program to view them as I used to organize them? Any good software out there?

View your photos using Picasa from Google. It's free and a great program to look at your images, and do some editing too. You can create albums in Picasa then choose the create gift CD option and it will burn the CD with no problem.
Good all around program and it's free.

ACDSee is powerful but not free, you may try Faststone Viewer, kind of convenient and quick to start the program
