I definitely wouldn't use olive oil. Vegetable oil would be best. But, when you measure out the oil, take a tablespoon and remove a whole tablespoon of oil from the measuring cup. Replace it with a tablespoon of melted butter. Then, add a tablespoon of vanilla extract. The butter makes the cupcakes/cake very moist and the vanilla just gives it a little extra flavor.

Dont use the olive oil it has too strong of a flavor to it. Use the other it will be fine. You should have some regular vegetable oil on hand just for baking. It is what is commonly used in baking.

Corn oil, vegetable oil, canola oil. Like Wesson or Crisco. I think the olive oil might give an odd flavor to the cupcakes.

I always use vegetable oil, and I have never had a problem with my cupcakes. I wouldn't us olive oil, I think that they may come out strange!

I usually use vegetable oil. But I imagine that olive oil would work, it's just more expensive than most other oils.

I use vegetable oil. I wouldn't recommend olive oil but you could try it and see how it comes out. Did you know that you can substitute apple sauce for oil? I don't know what the ratio is though, if it is one to one.

do not use Olive Oil....If you do, thats what your cupcakes will taste like....not very yummy....
whenever baking cakes normally, vegetable oil is used...BUT since you don't have any, you can also use Sour Cream (this makes the cake moister also)or applesauce(and it won't taste like apples)

Is dependent on the context really. Which is better as a snack - fruits to me. It's tastier and gives you that tad of sweetness. Which can be better as a snack if you are trying hard to minimize back on sugar and lose weight vegetables
