I bought some fancy crackers that sounded yummy, and looked pretty. Nice for entertaining. Later on at home when I read the label,I found out one of the ingrediants are hemp seeds.I am in a profession that is subject to random drug testing.I am now afraid to eat these pretty crackers. A few months ago,a co-worker was fired for flunking a test. She hired a attonrney and got her job back. The rest of us got an E-mail saying we could not use Hemp as a excuse for failing a drug test, and that we were not to use ANY Hemp products. She used the Hemp defense and our employer closed the hole behind her. It was a fluke that I read the packet ingrediants, because the hemp was not in big letters.I cuold of naivly eaten them. This worries me. Please advise

There are probably numerous varieties of hemp, some of which contain THC or similar substances. Herodotus, the "father of historians" described around 440 BC a practice of the Scythians who burned hemp seeds and inhaled its vapors.

I've heard repeatedly that hemp does not contain THC. That is the defense hemp endorsers use to promote their product.

You should be safe, no THC in the seeds. That is an odd ingredient for crackers.
