Now and then I get sublte signs from God...my biggest one so far was when I was feeling kind of depressed about myself...and when I went to flip the channel I "accidently" hit the numbers on the remote that led me to a christian speaker...not those redicals ones though...he was talking about how we should love ourselves the way we are and not compare ourselves to others and feel inferior. I've felt a lot better since.

It is good to take a good message with an open mind. The danger is to attach too much significance to a chance occurrence. There is the danger of attaching to the messenger as well as the message. This is how cults of personality begin and one of the paths by which churches become corrupt. I like to take a message with the codicil that it is "the finger pointing at the moon" as the Buddhists say. The problem of feeling inferior is an ego issue. Once you let go of the need to be accepted by others and the fear of being ridiculed or ostracized, you can truly become yourself. In my opinion, it is only when one is unencumbered by these fears and social tricks that one may see unadorned truths. The message you cite is a good one, but always listen carefully. Sometimes people are oracles and speak truth for you only once.

P.S. The "sign from God" for me I would not describe in those words, but I have faced death twice. Thus my "tree of understanding" has been shaken quite hard.

Things like that do happen, and often people just pass it off as mere coincidence.
I too have had things happen when the timing is just perfect.
Sometimes it's about money we get out of nowhere when we really need it the most, a small but determined impression I get about something, and like you, a radio station that comes in, I hear what I need, but can never get on the radio again.
Peculiar things, but the timing is always perfect.

When I was 16, God spoke to me and said that I'm way too intelligent to go through the whole nonsense of Christianity and that I'm being fast-forwarded to Heaven by letting me be whatever I wanted. So I became an atheist.

I know little about American religions, but my lover say kami is the Japanese word for this god. Shinto is the native religion of Japan, but there are many Zen Buddhists too. My family is not religious. My lover is atheist. He says gods really speak to no one. They not speaks to me.

The biggest sign that God exists is that people make him up.
God DOES exist, but sadly only in the imaginations of people.

I heard His voice after months of searching for Him with all my heart. I will never forget His words or the sound of His voice.
