My operation on ear will require general anesthetics, and 2 days earlier i am to have a thyroid nodule biopsy.

Is this biopsy likely to affect the oparation?
Is it better to reschedule the biopsy after the operation just in case? and in case of what ?

The thyroid nodule biopsy you will have most likely is by fine needle aspiration. It is a non-surgical method which will use a needle and syringe to aspirate cells with local anesthesia only.

Such biopsy won't affect your surgery after 2 days. As long as all the required parameters are within normal imits, the surgery will be carried out as scheduled and the previous thyroid nodule biopsy will not cause any problem.

You'll be fine. The biopsy won't have any effect on the ear surgery or anesthesia.

You could have anesthesia and surgery minutes after a biopsy. It's no big deal.

If its known to your doc why are you worried, for biopsy they have to just get a piece & send it for biopsy .Its not necessary to give anesthesia for taking a part for biopsy
