my contract expired in november, i have asked bt if i could have unlimited for the same price because aol, and tiscali are offering me that service.
Bt ordered me an automatic upgrade when i didnt ask for one, pushy sales people kept calling me to hassle me to renew my contract.
I feel i was a loyal customer to bt. Bt should have matched what aol, tiscali were offering. Not because i was a new customer but because i was a loyal customer.
What would you advise me to do, which is a good internet provider?

regards x

I`ve never had that problem with BT. I recently renewed my 12 month contract and I received it for £6 a month less :-)
Option 3 Total Broadband, Unlimited download etc...

BT gave me an extension to my contract with no limit and £20 pm. I now download up to 100Gig a month.
I cannot get full speeds between 6pm and midnight so I don't download then, anyway it's antisocial to hog the bandwidth at peak times.
Ask or you will not get.......they always give more if they think they will lose you so tell the sales people that you want your MAC code and see what they say.

By the way if you ask the others (tiscalli etc.) you will find that they will cap you if you exceed their guidelines.

I'd definitely switch if I were you. I've heard great things about Tiscali and have recommended them to several people.

I used to be on them back in the days of dial up and their customer service was great.

For just under £20 I have unlimited calls, free broadband, line rental included, free international calls ( not that I use it ) with TalkTalk. Initially I had a lot of trouble with them, but now, perfect. Oh and 40gb download usage.
