Because your brain is a complex biological machine that degrades over time if not kept in proper condition.

You can keep your brain in good condition by simply sleeping - this will enable you to remember more.

People forget things because they see those things as unimportant and therefore do not attach a lot of significance towards them, thereby causing the memory to fade.

People forget for a number of reasons. It can be pretty hard at times to remember everything. If that wasn't the case, we would all be straight "A" students.

No, I think it's just the times that we live in......everything is just so sped up until we have little time to do all that needs to be done, thus we tend to forget a lot of things.
That's life in the fast lane!

They actually don't forget anything. The information is still in their brain, it just gets overwritten by new information if it's not accessed frequently.

It has to do with imperfection and the fact that we use less than 5% of our brain capacity.

"That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." -- Romans 5:12
