it's tapeworms --- and you can get it all sorts of common everyday places.....eating certain meats that werent completely cooked all the way, if you do a lot of outdoor activities like sports or gardening and dont properly wash up before eating etc etc, you can get them a lot of common everyday ways --- but just got to the DR if you're scared about it, they can get serious if you just let them go on, but it's pretty common and they can take care of it without too much hassel.

good luck

aditional::: to the guy's comment below me --- it is only deadly or extremely painful if you let it go on unattended, they are very common and rarely deadly unless people just don't get it taken care of. I have known people who have had worms for years, but had no clue ---- when it finally became painful and he got them removed, the DR said from the size of them he'd had them between 3-4 years before he got notable pain or sickness from them. So don't let that scare you, just if you're worried, go to the DR and get checked out so you can catch 'em early and avoid the extreme painful part of it.

Lol, you are talking about a tapeworm. Yes weight loss can be a syptmom of a tapeworm along with all these other fun things: nausea, weakness, abdominal pain, diarreha - and of course the tapeworm larvae can move out of your intestine and infest other organs, causing a whole range of very bad things. Even the weight loss is bad, because not only does the tapeworm eat the bad things like fats and sugars, it steals all the nutrients from you too, resulting in malnutrition. Oh, and the tapeworm eats, so it must poop. So instead of getting the food, you get tapeworm poop. Still want to get hooked up with one?
