No.
Really, everyone who respects and obeys Jesus Christ goes from door to door to teach his neighbors about the Bible's good news. It is interesting that only Jehovah's Witnesses are so clearly identified with the preaching work; globally more than 6 million preach publicly each month.
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.
(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.
(Acts 20:20) I did not hold back ...from teaching you publicly and from house to house
It's sad when someone who claims to respect the bible actually insults or even advocates attacking a peaceful preacher. Sad but completely expected.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
Really, if someone goes out of their way to disregard Christian preachers and preaching, what is he saying about himself?
(Luke 10:1-17) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos... “He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”

When I was a kid, I was told that Christians are loving, caring, and would never hurt any living things. I used to believe it – no, I actually like it. When I came to US as teenager year, Christian people scared me. When they weren’t attending Churches, they were not like anything that I’ve learned. So I got JW confused with all other Christians.
For the longest time I thought JW and all other Christians are the same group. Boys, was I wrong about the JWs. In my early 30s, that was when I came to know that among Christians, they are not the same. JWs are the wheat and the sheep. Other Christians are the weeds and the goats. I’m so thankful to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to help me to understand that True Christians are really caring, loving, and respecting life. Just as John 8:31-32 says, “If YOU remain in my word, YOU are really my disciples, and YOU will know the truth, and the truth will set YOU free.”

Sick n tired! No I don't get rude, but it is rude on their part about not knowing about Jehovah's witnesses! The Kingdom of God, and everything, like why are they witnessing. All religions have a misconception or don't know why, about what they do! That's a way in which some learn life and some don't! Have a Merry Christmas! Take care! Jimmy.

only if they are persistent and don't take the hint! Then yes I am rude.
Best bit of advice, move next door to a Jehovah cos they tend to leave the immediate neighbours alone ( not to upset the flock on the doorstep so to speak) Best 7 years of our life living next door to a Jehovah family cos no one ever came round!
Have not had any in Ireland either (yet)

Reasoning from the Scriptures
Jehovah's Witnesses
Why do Jehovah's Witnesses preach from house to house?
Jesus fortold for our day: "This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." ----Matt. 24:14. He also instructed his followers: "Go....and make disciples of people of all the nations."----Matt. 28:19.
When Jesus sent out his early disciples, he directed them to go to the homes of the people. (Matt. 10:7. 11-13) The apostle Paul said regarding his ministry: "I did not hold back from telling you any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching you publicly and from house to house."----Acts 20:20, 21; see also Acts 5:42.
The message that the Witnesses proclaim involves the lives of people; they want to be careful to mis no one. (Zeph. 2:2, 3) Their calls are motivated by love----first for God, also for their neighbor.
A conference of religious leaders in Spain noted this: "Perhaps [the churches] are excessively neglectful about that which percisely constitutes the greatest preoccupation of the Witnesses----the home visit, which comes within the apostolic methodology of the primitive church. While the churches, on not a few occasions, limit themselves to constructing their temples, ringing their bells to attract the people and to preaching inside their places of worship, [the Witnesses] follow the apostolic tactic of going from house to house and of taking advantage of every occasion to witness."----El Catholicismo, Bogota, Columbia, September 14, 1975, p. 14.
But why do the Witnesses call repeatedly even at homes of people who do not share their faith?
They do not force their message on others. But they know that people move to new residences and that the circumstances of people change. Today a person may be too busy to listen; another time he may gladly take the time. One member of a household may not be interested, but others may be. People themselves change; serious problems in life may stimulate an awareness of spiritual need.----see Isaiah 6:8, 11, 12.
My answer:
So people do need to realize that we ARE going to come and knock on their door to spread the good news. If they don't have a problem with us knocking on their door they will accept the magazines and will look forward to another visit. But some have gone to extremes and brandish a shotgun so we put them on the no call list. We also put people who ask to be put on the no call list and don't go to their door. Also to many who have said no thank you in the past have now become our brothers and sisters. We are polite and consciderate of peoples feelings.

No, I actually had a couple come to my door. I said that I didn't want to talk to them about their religion and they politely said "thank you" and left. That is probably the only group of people that has ever been polite and left me alone. I have had people condemn me to Hell and start getting louder the more they talked. I told them to fu*k off. I think if was rude of them so I don't consider that rude of me.

Why do you feel the need to be rude. A polite no thank goes down very well with anyone. Maybe where I live people do have manners because I havent met any such rude people. Have you ever considered that maybe it can save someones life, if we had not called an old lady wouldnt have been helped as she had been laying on the floor all night and no one had heard her call. The ambulance attendants said we saved her life.

They may think I am being rude, but I am not.
When I tell someone point blank, that I've already looked into their beliefs, and I am not interested, and then THEY persist, that is when THEY are the ones being rude. They fail to listen, and when you're doing that sort of work, you must listen as well as speak.

Well...sometimes. Sometimes I wont answer the door. And I walk straight by the door...while they are still standing there. That's pretty rude. But if I do answer the door, I'll tell them, 'I don't believe in God, I'm an Atheist and don't try and change what I believe in and I love celebrating Christmas.' Then I'll close the door. So yeah...sometimes I am rude...but whatever. I have my own opinion and I am entitled to it, and I'd rather not have people coming to the door trying to tell me to believe in something that I just...don't believe in. Meh.
