Here's the rule:

if it sounds too good to be true, it is.

Those fad diets (especially the ones that promise quick weight loss) are incredibly unhealthy. Also, the results tend to last for mere days.

The better plan is to get rid of the high fat, high carb, high sugar foods in your diet. Eat a lot of vegetables and lean meat. Then, exercise 3 times a week. That will promote a healthy body and a lifestyle that is lasting.

Also, drink a lot of water (at least 8 glasses per day) and snack on vegetables - that will keep your metabolism up.

I just read your profile. Honey, don't diet unless your doctor is telling you that you need to lose weight. Your body is still developing and you don't want to do anything that might stunt your growth. You are perfect the way you are:)

Diets don't work long term. Self dicipline does. Talk to your doctor and see what he suggests. Everything in moderation, plenty of exercise and wholesome well rounded meals. Get a good nights rest and start again the next day with your diciplined goals in mind.
