IE Gospel of Mary, the Acts of John, the Homilies of Clement, the Gospel of Truth, and the Gospel of Judas.

Evangelicals would surely say that they were left out of the bible because they were wrong... But evangelicals also say the Catholic Church (those who deemed these "Lost Gospels" as heretical writings) is an uninspired organization formed by the devil... So, evangelicals, was the Catholic Church inspired or not? If not, why dont you cannonize these Lost Gospels? If yes, why are you not Catholic? I'm just curious.

Even if an authorized, inspired document were found today, I doubt anyone would add it to the Bible for various reasons.

It would first of all require divine revelation to recognize an ancient writing as being authentic and inspired, and secondly it would require divine authority to add an ancient document to the canon of scripture. The only Christians I know of who claim to have such authority are the Catholics and the Mormons. However, it is already well-established that these two denominations have their own distinctive sets of canonized scriptures, so "adding to the Bible" is no big deal for them.

Even if these ancient documents were proven to be authentic and inspired scriptures, many Evangelicals would likely cite Revelation 22:18 and say the Bible has everything God wanted us to know, and that you can't add to the Bible (even though the Bible makes several references to other books of scripture, not included within its covers).

Finally, the Bible as it stands today has been accepted as the gold standard of truth for many Christians across many denominations. If you change the Bible, it will affect virtually all Christians. If any one denomination wishes to canonize these additional findings, perhaps they should print their own edition of the Bible.

The Lost Gospels were considered heretical by the Catholic church because they revealed things that Jesus himself did not want his disciples to know. He made it clear to his followers while he was on earth that there were things he could not tell them that would be discovered in a later age, when people were ready to assimilate them.
Evangelicals do not accept them either but this is, I believe, purely for self-serving interests. They are making too much money selling MTV Christianity and if it was discovered by everyone that Joe Soap can do the things Jesus did, where would the need for Tv evangelism and the like be?
Jesus himslef said: " All these things and more you shall do". Evangelicals are only just starting to wake up to the fact that even non-believers have grasped the "truths" that remained hidden for so long. But now they face a strange dilemna. Because they have spent so many decades decrying what others do and positioning themselves as holy and everyone else as sinners, their followers are "programmed" to beleive that every word of the Bible is literal truth and that nothing can ever be added to or taken away from it. With this kind of programming, it is very difficult to understand anything in the Bible. Evangelicals are so busy trying to do damage control now that they probably haven't caught on to the existence of the other gospels. The Gospel of the Essenes, written by "The Prince of Light" was discovered 14 odd years ago when the Dead Sea Scrolls were first translated. Non-believers know more about the dead sea scrolls than evangelicals do. Why? Because the dead sea scrolls don't make for very good audio and dvd material that you can sell on t.v for a few dollars a piece. Evangelicals no longer bother to examine evidence of this sort because MTV Christianity states that "you should only use words when absolutely necessary- and if you have enough time, you might want to say something about God too." At the church I attend, we call this kind of evangelising "pop psychology with a veneer of Jesus". In my book, it does not conform with any gospel.
This still does not make me a Catholic because I don't believe a personal relationship with Jesus Christ has anything to do with rituals, dogma and systems that were basically super-imposed on the worship of pagan gods.

Even 2 corinithians 11:14 says he can remodel himself into an angel of sunshine. So constrained to a e book, no no longer unavoidably so.. by way of fact God is going previous a e book, he's a spirit, a writer. And a snake can in basic terms conceal his actual self for yet see you later.. by way of fact whats at nighttime will consistently come to the gentle. And he provides us know-how to parent the two: the two reliable and evil. devil preys on all of us... purely pray for people who do no longer even comprehend.

The canonization issue got settled l-o-n-g ago.
There's ample evidence in what is canonized.
It's evident no man justified by law in God's sight.
What's not canonized isn't worthy of canonization.

Holy Bible: neither Roman-Catholic nor Protestant.

Bible doesn't think for you, but makes you think;
So that in the end already written you don't stink.

Those scriptures were lost for so long because the makers of the bible rejected them and destroyed all they could get their hands on. Their successors are not about to accept them now.

Fortunately, you can read them anyway.

They were recognized as fakes back then and not considered part of the Bible. I don't see what makes then not be fake now just because they were found.

Christianity is just a bunch of pagan belief systems combined together. You see Constantine was tired of all of the pagans fighting each other so in 325 in our current age of Pisces he called all the Pagan priests together, and called this the Council of Nicaea, and they made a god up, and called him Hesus Crishna in order to unite the Roman Empire at the time under one Sun God.

It definitely should. These scriptures were followed by early, devout Christians, and removed by a less-than-devout hierarchy in Rome.
