Women do tend to be more likely to be religious then men but when one adjusts for education and compares men and women of the same education level the differences disappear.

So we can conclude that the reason women are more religious is because they are less educated (there is a negative correlation between education and religion).

I guess it's because current society sort of frowns upon men being spiritual. Our culture is becoming more promiscuous, so I guess it's agreed that men shouldn't be involved in their religion when they could be out somewhere with a woman.
