In medical field, we call it DAP. This is stands for Dura Matter, Arachnoid Matter and the Pia Matter. The outer part is the Dura matter, the middle part is the Arachnoid Matter, which is separated by Subarachnoid space, and lastly, the Pia Matter. The subarachnoid space is where the CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) flows from the brain stem to the spinal cord.
