I've followed your advice and I've been very mean to this girl I liked. I've been insulting her appearance, dress, personality etc. Now she thinks I'm a jerk ,and always flies into a rage when I annoy her.
What's the next step to land her as my girlfriend ?

If her approach is the way i think of that's based off the final factors you presented, i might say you're screwed. changing your previous "approaches" of having her to love you is a initiate and time is the next step considering that she's already have been given an impact of what you're approximately based on your previous movements.

ok why would you insult a girl if you like her??
ie- pretend you want to lose 10 kgs but you're eating 5 cakes a day.. do you see that happening any time soon?.....
this is exactly what you did and you have to change NOW. if you want to get closer to the girl be nice, be interested' be human!
i'm telling you and all other men/guys who are reading this...if you seriously thought that pushing a woman/girl away will help you get her...WRONG. so next time your genious friends tell you anything like this and this sounds a bit strange don't do anything before you ask one of your FEMALE FRIENDS.... i think we know more about women than men.

Uhh well first I would soften up the insults a little bit. If she gets mad when you just come around I think you went a little overboard. You are supposed to tease her and make her be slightly flustered. But might as well go for the jerk thing now and just tell her nest time... "So when are you taking me out to the movies? I want to see _____."

Well, I have to tell you that you would have lost me at the mean thing!!! You would have been on my avoid and ignore list. (The one that is headed "NOT IN A MILLION YEARS!")
Tha game only works for insecure women, and ignorant women that don't know any better.
