I really like this guy and I think he likes me. We had sex once and after that i started to think that he just used me for it. A close friend of mine has been through it many times, and says next time you see him joke around and play hard to get because then he will want you more and see your true personality. I appreatiate her advice, but I'm just worried that by playing hard to get, am I doing more harm then good?

Try it out. Just don't play too hard to get because that's when he will get frustrated and give up.

Playing hard to get makes the guy actually think about whether he likes YOU or just the idea of having sex with you (or, having sex with you).
If he's not that into you he won't stick around.
So. You can have a guy who doesn't even like you that much & probably doesn't have much/any respect for you or you can be on your own for a little longer while a guy that you like AND you likes you comes along.

Depends on the guy. Some of them like to play the game and chase you around. Some of them want to get in, get out, and get the hell out of Dodge. And some of them are too shy to do anything about it when you play hard to get.
My best advice? He isn't worth it. If he had sex with you and now doesn't want to have much to do with you, he's an *** and doesn't deserve someone like you who wants a real relationship.

Sorry to say BUT you already gave it up. I have spoke with several men about this topic and it seems that once you have given it to him then the respect is lost. If you would have "played hard to get" in the beginning then you would have had a much better chance of having this be something good.

Lol, i love Seattles answer, just talk to him in an enclosed room XD. Well ill tell you in highschool there is kind of a limit. there was this girl i liked and i think she somewhat liked me, but she was constantly playing hard to get, she would flirt with me, and then when id flirt back then she would act like nothing, so i stopped, and it went over and over and over....and you get it, but he kinda already got you from what i hear lol, theres a limit for playing hard to get so if u do, dont over do it.

Playing hard to get can confuse him and make him think that you're not interested in him at all! Those tricks don't work, you should just try and not call him all the ime and keep yourself busy so that he sees that you have other things to do and he's not your main concern!

No, you did more harm than good by being so quick to put out. If he isn't going to judge you as being easy then he won't mind you playing hard to get either. Give it a go & see where it takes you.

He doesn't sound like someone that you would want to begin with. I would play very, very hard to get. If fact, if you tell your friends that he wasn't very good, he'll want to redeem himself. But don't let him, he already blew it. There are a lot of other guys out there. Make him jealous.

You really can't play hard to get after he's already gotten you.. if you want to see if he's serious then say "We need to talk about our relationship." if he jumps out the window screaming, then he's probably not looking for much.

If he is using you, then what do you have to lose?? Try not being so available every time he calls!! He is treating you as a booty call!!
