Ok, so my island's government has passed a new Labor Law, Public Law 15-108. I believe it has something to do with alien workers, and guest workers. Like, every 3 years, contract workers must go back to their homeland, for at least 6 months. Something like that.
They had just done a rally opposing this law. I read in the newspaper about that rally. About 10,000 came. This is a sign that means this law is a big deal. Many people said that this law is too much harsh. The law declares that every 3 years, non-resident workers, on non-US workers must go back to their homeland for 6 months. Crazy, isn't it? I'm a US citizen, and so are my brothers, but both of my parents aren't. They'll have to leave us for 6 months. Life can never be easy with this law glooming over us.
What do you think about this law? Don't you think our government has gone of the path?
I'm only 13 years old, but I really want to do something about this. I really, truly want to make a big difference.
