will be turning 21 here soon, and I'm trying to find the most affordable price of the springfield XD 40cal 4" for work. any help would be greatly appreciated

As far as actual shop I could not tell you. Every place by me (COOK COUNTY IL) is high.
Great choice in a sidearm though. I own two XDs. one is a 9mm V-10 and the other is a .45acp Tactical. I love them.

I am not sure what part of the country your in, but if you were in Texas, I would recommend Cheaper Than Dirt, in FT Worth. I would like to say that I think you are getting a dern good gun in a great caliber. I own a xd 40 also, and luv it. I paid $460 for mine a year ago.

I picked up my .45 for about 580 after taxes. I too live in IL. I have never used any of the websites that are mentioned so I cannot help you there. What kinda prices have you see thus far, if any?

you might want to look at them a little longer.i saw a report earlier this week that say the 40 is having a great deal od trouble.springfield makes a great gin. i have the 1911 loaded model
