Right..

So ive been thinking..
what would you say was an acceptable age gap between two people in a relationship?
is it ok for a 34 year old guy to be with a 16 year old with the intentions of a long term relationship?
or should 22 be the limit for older men an women to date the younger generation??
reverse the situation too...
is it ok for a 34 year old woman to be with a 16 year old with the intentions of a long term relationship?

Please let me know your views.

hate to break this to you all but im an older guy whos dating a younger girl the age gap isnt as big as 34/16 but its close. all i have to say is im not USING her for anything. i happen to love and care about her very much. it's not disgusting or pedophilia or rape or any of that crap. we love each other and we're happy. if you have a problem with that then it's YOUR PROBLEM. not ours.
i have a question.......whats the difference between a 17yo who turns 18 the next day and an 18 yo? nothing. you all speak of maturity like theres some enormous gap between the ages like you flick a switch between those 2 days and WHAM! you're mature. sorry kids, it's not like that. its all in your head people. life experience does not equal maturity. you can have tons of life experience and still be an idiot. look at bush.

I believe both are not moral. But in this society it is okay to see an older man with a younger woman. Either case though I believe that there is a limit to how old the person should be when dating a 16 year old. But I am biased though because I only date guys are older than I because it just feels wrong if they are younger.

An age gap should not make a difference when two people believe they are in love, but someone as young as 16 should not have intentions of settling down, especially with someone much older at that point.

It always depends on the people too. (maturity, life situations...)

Anyone over 20 should not be dating a child of 16, regardless of the intentions. How could a man or woman of 36, or even of 22 relate to the immaturity of a child of 16. There is no comparison in life experience.

A person that would do this either wants complete control of his mate, or he/she is a pedophile.

34 and 16??? Are you nuts, or is he nuts--or are you both nuts?? he wants the boost that a kid would give him--you must be looking for a father figure.... for some reason. That is a mental issue. You will look ridiculous together--and YOU should be in school working towards your future so you can get a good job after he dumps you in 5 years because he can't get it up anymore, or he wants to go to sleep at 7 and you want to go out. In 10 years you might be wheeling this old assh--e in a wheelchair. Get to school and forget this crap-- What kind of mind control does he use to even hypnotize you?? You can't be that stupid without some tricks he's using. Where are your parents--he is as old as them--isn't that cute?? Merry Christmas.

16 IS DEFINITELY TOO YOUNG

If any parent with a child....ok very young adult of that age found out that a woman of 34 was dating her son she would think the woman is a preyer and her son is her prey!...the same with a female youngster!!!

Its not healthy - you have to have boundaries

over 18 is just about ok!

it is neither ethical or immoral itself quite morality is predicated on the manipulation, or use and earn. If it for the social purpose and livelihood, it is sturdy and it is earned by way of dishonest or smugling it is immoral. on the otherhand, in case you spends money for the luxerous existence form devoid of addressing starvation, and starvation, and affliction, that's in simple terms too lots immoral.

I think it is more acceptable for the younger girl and the older man. But the girl is just getting her license and the man is about ready to settle down and have children there might be differences of opinion.
