will look good on my walls?

I'm planning to paint the walls by the entrance purple and the rest of my dinning room green, how do you feel about it...

I'm definetly using green, could you give me any other suggestions?

well we used to have our kitchen painted green

I think purple suits more to living room, its more vivid and funny!
you could have the purple combined with some yellow too, it ll definitely look good!

good luck and we are expecting your invitation to see it ;)

I painted with different tones of green. It all went together and added dimension. Then you can accessorize with purples.

Just make sure that you get test colors. So that you can compare side by side. Trust me, it's so much better to be able to change your mind before it's all finished.

Green and purple could go very well together if done correctly, but the purple should be minimal. You don't want it to get too busy. I personally am not too crazy about the combo, it could be reminiscent of a tacky Italian restaurant.

Green is very soothing, and I would think most people would not find it objectionable. But it IS your place. So if you're happy then I am happy =)

Someone on here said green and orange. She's right they do go really well together. Also green and yellow, very fresh and citrus.

good luck

How about orange instead of purple? green and purple do match, I just wonder with purple, perhaps it may be too dark and tiring. It depends on the green too. Something towards ladi would match well with lilac purple, both rather pale (when i say ladi just make sure you don't paint it khaki, like an army building, I mean something like my doors or my kitchen, if you remember).
But a tone of kyparissi would need something warmer to match.

PS. Ask your mum to have a look, I am sure she will be good with colours.

I believe green and purple match well. What you have to look carefully, is the tone of the colours. Their 'warmth'. Just a shade wrong and the result may be disastrous!! So if you find the right tones, it will be perfect and elegant. I like the combination.

i used to live with a green and purple kitchen!, green doors, purple cupboards, and black on the bits inbetween!, sounds odd, but looked really good, bright apple green, and it was a strange, sorta pinky almost purple colour...

sorry. purple and green don't match! i love green though, it's a nice fresh colour.. hmm.. what shade of green is it? if it's a nice pale baby green then that would suit a light pink! :)

Good luck.

You don't give enough specifics.
There are many shades and intensities of both colors seeing as how they are not primary colors.
Red, blue, and yellow are primaries.
Purple, orange, and green are secondaries.
Black and white dull and intensify colors.

If you don't go purple, how about green and maroon.....they work well together. (hunter green?)
