That's a very good question because Picasso was likely the most prolific painter of all time. He painted and/or created other art every day; just as he breathed every day but 20-100 pieces is an exaggeration. His powers definitely weakened after the War years (1945) but his output was always strong so the quality of his work varies greatly. All anyone can say in answer to your question would be that he made more attempts at art than anyone else before or since.

None at all! He made thousands of scribbles that I do not call Art. Salvador dali says Picasso was destructive and anarchistic. Apocryphical tale says Picasso admits he sold trash to fools.

He made about 30 thousand pieces of art in his lifetime.
