My memory is almost full ( 1% left!!!) Three days ago I had 3% left, I desinstalled heavy programs from computer ( msn messenger, canon suite etc..) hoping to get some space but instead I have less. What happened?

Hi Tina ... try turning off your system restore .... that should free up a heap of space ... then go buy yourself a new hard0drive and fit it as a second drive .... Good Luck

Try disk cleanup (right click hard drive, properties) and clear out your temp internet files. If you never plan on using System Restore, you could disable that since it takes up a lot of space. If you have Norton, the protected recycle bin takes up disk space as well. Otherwise, I'd just invest in some blank cd's or dvd's and start burning some of your video files or pictures.

Run a disk cleanup on your system. Your system is flooded with temporary files I guess. After disk cleanup , defragment the system and run a scan for any sort of infections that is causing such a menance.

Let me guess you sent that stuff to your recycle-bin. If you did that you did not get rid of the file. You need to empty the recycle bin and make sure you go to add/remove and delete the .exe files of all of that stuff. Defrag defrag defrag.........
