since my apt has 25 floors my apt doesnt really have windows you can open all the way, just these vent types you can open for air but nothing else for safety, plus since it's december it gets kinda cold

I can't for the life of me think of the name of the litter I used to use but it was great stuff. It was blue crystals and came in a bag. I'm not talking about the scoop able clay, although that is better than regular clay by far. But these crystals absorb and neutralize the urine. Also, I wouldn't use pine-sol or pine cleaners. It is actually toxic to animals. If you do use it make sure you rinse VERY well. I use a natural cleaner made by Veriuni. It's non toxic and safe for pets and people.... will include a link for you to check it out.

Hope that helps. Best wishes and good luck!

Make sure you use clumping cat litter and scoop dirties out as often as you notice them.
Also, make sure you rinse thoroughly the pine sol fr. box, it is toxic to animals ( I too use to use that, before I found out).
***Leave an open vinegar container close to litter box. It will neutralize the smell***.
Hope this helps.

you can get clumping cat litter, and scoop the pan on a DAILY basis... maybe double-bag it, and put it in a trash container with a lid. I'm sure you can find cheap food storage bags to use?.. they do make litter for multiple cats, which has extra deodorizers in it, too.

i used to have 2 litter pans and 4 cats, and i scooped morning and night, and there was never an odor. good luck!

I use fresh step with odor eliminating carbon for multiple cats every time you scoop it smells good not bad. If i forget to scoop one day it will not smell on day two or three and I have two cats.
