People who stutter are just as intelligent as people who speak more fluently. Anyone who needs to find out more about stuttering and those who are afflicted by it should visit www.stutteringhelp.org.

I take what they have to say as seriously as I would take anyone else....
If they are actually unintelligent, then that is a different matter... But I try to listen as well as I can and ignore the stutter... Although I suppose sometimes its hard to actually communicate with someone who has it bad, but that does not mean I judge them by it?
How low would you have to be to do something like that?

Actually I tend to pay more attention if a person stutters because statistically show they are more likely to be in the top 20% of the population in terms of intelligence.

if someone stutters i absolutely do not think that they are stupid or slow. i've known multiple people who stutter who are in fact brilliant. it is simply a speech impediment. everyone in life has things that are difficult for them.
when someone stutters i do not try to finish their sentence for them. i think that would be rude. i simply wait patiently for them to finish their thought as if nothing is wrong at all.... because nothing is wrong. we must practice compassion and understanding and hope others will do the same for us.

I used to stutter when I was younger ( I still do every now and then) and it seems like if many of my family members have had stuttering problems growing up

NO!! A girl I know stutters all the time, but she is probably the smartest person I have ever met and she always knows what she's talking about.

I don't think they're stupid or slow. I hope I am a good representation of human kind in this manner. Just because someone has a speech problem/impedement, it does not mean that they are stupid.

I don't think either. Obviously, they have an impediment. I think they are respected like everyone else, but some people have a tendency to want to speak for them, finish their sentences, etc.
