Propane (and of course, propane accessories).....lol....depends on what you're going to BBQ

Charcoal will always be the preferred way to barbecue your food unless you are in a hurry & you want things to be cooked fast... Hey, enjoy some charcoal cooking...

propane for a home grill it cleaner and easier to use but for a smoker charcoal it gives a better taste (since it is used for more then burgers)

Do you mean grilling? Or do you really mean BBQing? Grilling is high temperature fast cooking (steak, chicken, fish), barbeque is low and slow (ribs, pulled pork, etc).

But to your question: Charcoal for flavor, propane for control.

I always liked charcoal better; though now the fumes frighten me (like I'm not frightened of gas?)
