Why is my right eye twitching? This has been going on for at least 1.5 weeks. Usually I do get it if I have a week of work to cram and I use the computer for extended periods of time, but this week, my PC use has been kept to a minimum, and my right eye twitching hasn't stopped.

There are a lot of fatigued or stressed people out there!
I've just searched for "Eye twitches" and Y!A reports it has been asked 1,503 times.
the total climbs appreciably every time I check.

It's an annoying symptom of no great medical seriousness.
It's often connected with tiredness or stress.

Apart from the accurate but usually useless advice to "Cultivate a more relaxed lifestyle", this propensity for a twitch or tic can be associated with marginally low potassium levels. Try drinking fresh tomato juice or, if that's unpalatable, bananas might be the next-preferred source.

I think it is stress or muscle strain. I have had my left eye twitching for almost two weeks and it just suddenly stopped yesterday! Apart from superstition (one eye twitching is for good fortune and others for bad luck - don't know which is which), do not worry about it. Give your eye more rest and it will go away.

Don't worry about it. Lack of sleep, eye strain, etc. can cause your muscles to twitch. You should be in my shoes. I have muscles all over my body twitching at one time or another. I also have had this condition my whole life.

Seems like it is stress related. My husband's eye used to do the same when he was stressed and would last days at a time.

Perhaps seeing your eye doctor about this may help.

One night during night shift, my eye started twitching, and when I commented on it to my friend, she said hers was doing the same thing, due to fatigue, and stress, we decided. Was gone next day.
