I for one would like to see a decline as a whole of all religions all over the world!

As in Noah's day, people were marrying, and doing what people do, we don't know the day or the hour. My opinion is that, no matter how bad the world get's we will not be away of this decline or the Parousia, we humans have a nack of denile and as long as I'm O.K. it's alright.

Where does the idea come from that there is/will be a decline in Christianity? It's not happening from where I sit.

its fairly progressive, now with the Church of Scientology, and the Unitarian Church and some of the new religions popping up...I think it will level out and we will see newer directions eventually everything evolves even a belief system....its like someone said earlier people will commit for awhile then get bored...that happens all the time, I watched my church grow huge then loose about 1,000 members over a year or so...

What decline? More people attend church per ca-pita than in any other time in US history, even the 1950's...
And Christianity, like some other religions has a wonderful way of adapting and changing.

I think the Fundamentalist right-wing Christians are turning people off of Christianity. And their insistence on banning stem-cell research and gay marriage, along with demanding Creationism and prayer in schools takes away any credibility they might otherwise have.

The answer is no.
Although in most traditional "Christian' countries, most people are becoming more of a nominal kind, they aren't about to renounce their religion. meanwhile, in other parts of the world, there are people converting to be Christians...

or picking ticks off a dog lol
(I've actually never done that so i don't know what its like)
an avalanche would be more satisfying though
