No. Foolish they may be, but we do not punish people for foolish beliefs -- only for foolish actions.

So I guess that because you think that Muslims are not practicing what they believe in is suppose to be punishable? No, cause by saying that would make you a hypocrit in a way, wouldn't it? Your probably Christian, I guess you've never, cussed, drank, did drugs, had dirty thoughts/impulses, never looked up porn, smoked cigarrettes, watched a rated R movie, let alone a PG 13 movie, littered, gave someone the finger, and nowing some christians these days, you probably don't go to church any more then 1 time a month, unless theirs a major "Christian" holiday such as Christmas, and Easter, and you've probably never been trick or treating on halloween cause its a big bad pagan holiday right? Well lets just say that doesn't it state in the christian bible that if you get raped you have to marry your rapist, and that basically the story of Lot and his daughters is saying that incest is alright. And also, doesn't it state that humans where put here on this earth to take care of it, to make sure there isn't any pollution, and yet most christians let pollutents out. Also, just to be another thorn in your side, if you think about it, Jesus was born in Bethleham, right, and where is Betheleham? Israel, and Israel is a middle eastern country, so the next time you are saying that you wish Osama Bin Laden dead, that is kind of in a way, wanting Jesus dead, cause well, he was middle eastern too!

A lot of people don't really understand what Islam is. The religion is perfect but the people aren't. If Muslims are punished for our beliefs so should everyone else for there's no Muslims should not be punished for our beliefs. Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him aameen) is the promised Messiah but he's not the Creator, and no he is not to be worshiped. Yeah he pro-formed many miracles but he is not the only Prophet who did. The Creator is alone in Lordship He has no partners. We are His servants and we are suppose to worship non but Him, and the names and attributes that He has are for no one but Him and Him alone! You want to hate me that's fine because I know I've done nothing I don't agree with some of the things some Muslims do and I most likely won't agree with you but non of this matters, the only ONE who will have the last say is the the Creator, My Lord, Allah!
The cure for ignorance is knowledge!

Jew for Jesus?----------well, at least you did not say Messianic Jew. But, a person can be only one religion at a time. So, either you are a Christian or a Jew. Make your choice. Yes, there are a few hereditary Jews---but, mostly it is a religion, not a race of people.
Now, your comment on Muslims. Only a small percent are fanatics and you cannot judge the faith of Islam from these. And on these, it is not first a lack of understanding, but mostly a lack of education and being very poor.
I think you are a little fanatical also.
Oh---I am a Jew by choice. Jesus is not holy, as there is no G-d but G-d. Jesus was just a man.

I am a Muslim and I think the same way for all Christians and Atheists.
Let us tolerate each other. Here is a Surah of Quran in which God teaches tolerance for each other:
Quran Al-Kafiroon | 6 verses | The Disbelievers سورة الكافرون
Sura #109 | Makkah
1 Say : O ye that reject Faith!
2 I worship not that which ye worship,
3 Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
4 And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to
worship,
5 Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
6 To you be your Way, and to me mine.
The last line teaches that you follow your religion and I follow my religion and stop mocking at each other. Wait until Jesus returns. Then we will know who were wrong.

dude, this is a ridiculous question. not all muslims are bad, just kuz some extremeists are... extreme. all kinds of people pull stuff all the time. there are christians, jews, hindus, taoists, etc. who do stuff that is bad too. the propaganda would have you believe that muslims are terrible people and all of them are extremist, but they aren't, however, like 40 or 45 percent of people will believe whatever anyone in authority tells them, just because they are in authority, (lernd it in a psychology class) and honestly, i find that thought VERY scary. diversity and individual opinions are part of what makes us human, and if people want to be muslim that's fine, but asking if muslims should be punnished for their beliefs is ridiculous. the extremist muslims are trying to punish everyone else for their beliefs, so if we did the same, we would be nothing better.....
*sigh*
..... ignorance and blindly believing anything the authority says could be a fatal mistake in any society. it is OK to have your own thoughts about things, it ISN'T ok to press your beliefs on other people.

Jesus would want all to have mercy, But pray for God to open their hearts and minds to help them understand, especially the suicide bombers, who are so young and are being used by their own people.
A suicide bomber just a few days ago killed men, women and children, this is not a religion its pure evil!
I also be live there are some Muslims out there who do not condone this killing of innocent people.
So, please remember them in prayer. Only prayer can change a persons heart.

No they should not be punished for their beliefs any more than you or I should.
Everyone has the right to believe as they wish even if we find it abhorrent. If you were to oppress them, would you be better than those who would oppress you? Certainly not!
If they are not practicing the true teachings of Islam what business is it of yours?
If you wish to live for Jesus, you must live by his example and that is the Law of love.

We have laws that punish people when they have done bad things like murder and steal. When someone breaks a law, its the responsibility of government to to try and punish. Whem someone breaks a religious law or behaves contrary to their religion, it's up to that religious community to sanction or punish. In short, its none of our business. The should certainly not be punished for their beliefs if those beliefs do not break any laws. That's being arbitrary (and counter to religious freedom if you live in a country that guarantees such.)
You also appear to be generalizing. Most Muslims do not do terrible things.

I feel the same way sometimes too. Of course it would be safer if we scrutinized all Muslims, and we want to because we love our country.
But we also love our constitution--a Constitution that not only says people have the freedom to practice whatever religion they like, but there is something inherently wrong in the government intervening in matters of faith and denying God's free will.
Sometimes, especially after an attack, it's easy to feel angry and hate them all. Maybe it's human nature.
