Would the effects be reversed if the cults were abandoned?

This has to be one of the craziest assumption I have ever heard.

"All" people are directly responsible if anyone is. There are so many factors in this issue. The sun is getting closer to us as it expands. And it is so much more involved than that.

Christianity is not a cult, it's an organized religion with shaky beginnings and has spawned many cults along the way, which is why we have sooo many problems today.

However, you can link the profound catholic ideology of making more and more kids to the global climate change, because people cause pollution.

Most notorious of the polluters are the corporations, and when caught, don't get fined enough.

Therefore it is up to you to not only write on Yahoo Answers but to write to your elected officials and explain to them that you want severe penalties imposed on corporate polluters so that your tax burden will be lessened and their taxes increased.

So far, the ratio is two to one.

Individuals pay roughly twice as much in taxes than do corporations.

This is key and crucial toward alleviating the global climate change going on.

Well you could argue that spreading ideas about basic hygiene whilst preaching abstinence and banning birth control is not a good idea.

Seriously though Free Market Capitalism would be the better contender as it has a very efficient way of exploiting resources and people but is unsustainable in the long run.

Global Warming can be tackled but it needs religious and political leaders to fast forward to where they will be anyway in 300 years. Otherwise we will pay a very high price for false pride and religious conservatism.

Actually Catholicism has been preaching on responsible stewardship of the earths resources and the dangers of global warming now for years, going as far back as the 60's, makingit one of the first ecological movements. One of the 7 Catholic principles of social teaching is called care for creation. To waste, squander and ruin the precious resources and balance of the earth is considered an abomination to God (the world was his gift, we are not to destroy and disrepect his gifts). The Catholic Church (ie the Vatican) has been preaching sustainable development and the dangers of global warming to international organizations such as the WTO and the UN for YEARS AND YEARS and has held several ecological conservation and sustainable development conferences. It attempts with all of it's developmental programs to only implament sustainable development like the stove and tree project in Africa (google it except I can;t remember the country). they produce stoves that are remarkably effecient that can heat and cook on only two or three branches a day. They cultivate fast growing trees that they give with the stoves for planting so that each year the tree produces more then enough branches to heat the stove and the tree never has to be cut down for fuel or other purposes.

Here is just one of the previous Pope's many addresses on ecology with links to more:

Here is from the University of Notre Dame Catholic Social Teaching site Care for creation:

There are thousands of other websites google Catholic Ecology or care for creation and see for yourself.

No. The sun is causing global warming. You know, the big nuclear reaction in the sky...? Yeah, that's it. It sends its rays that are captured in the earths atmosphere. The earth goes through cycles of warming and cooling. Right now we appear to be warming, because we are coming out of an ice age that was a while ago. Eventually, the cycles will reverse and the earth will cool down. It has nothing to do with religion or cults.

No.
No.
Here's an idea. Why not help cut down on all the pollution by keeping the Sabbath day holy and walking instead of driving everywhere. Close all the companies who produce toxic waste or use resources which produce pollution or require people to work so that they have to drive and use fuel, at least one day a week (with a goal of eliminating them entirely, as Jesus said to give up our earthly goods and to follow Him).

I don't think it's a direct cause and affect.

That's like saying kittens are the source of global warming. Sure they may not be helping, but they didn't single handedly cause it either.

No. They're trying to stop global warming since their purpose is to preserve the world for future descendents.

Yes,but they are one of the caused, not the cause, but it is all due to the Atheist fault. If not for they making them fuming hot and so many of them going to Hell to be burn it would have been a cool, cool earth.
The Atheist are the main root of the cause. What shall we do to them? Let's not vote for horror.

Some people say it's cow farts that cause global warming. In that case, it would be Hindu's who are at fault because they let them live freely among them.
