I don't think I have any real disappointment with my religion. I found great inner peace and purpose from my religion. It's a very personal experience and inner feelings. Yes, at some point, I have questions and struggles over my religion, but it's not disappointment. To me, these questions and struggles are necessary to keep my passion on my religion alive... I don't know whether you understand what I mean. Without these questions/struggles, my passion may fade away. And I may lose my direction in life and be lost without even noticing. And the more questions/struggles I have over my religion, i actually learnt more about my religion through the search of answers. I think it's a cycle thing to me, I believe, I question, I seek answers, my understanding increases, and the cycle repeats. No one said that you believe and that's the end, that's not true.

The close-mindedness. The judging. Forgetting the part about "love thy neighbor." Scapegoating. Mere mortals telling people they're going to hell when none of us have that foresight.
But it's not so much disappointment with religion, but disappointment with some of the people that practices the same religion I do.

I don't have a religion. The biggest disappointment with Atheism are: social stigma and no afterlife. Ah well.
When I was a Christian the biggest disappointment was that when I studied the bible in depth, I found out what "a house built on sand" really meant.

Nobody really knows why Satan thought he could win. OR, why he became so powerful on Earth, when God kicked him out of Heaven. Ask a pastor this...."Who says after the Revelations, that another being won't try to do the same thing?"
NOW--- I am not saying that it will. I am just saying that whole "believe in God's plan thing" really satisfies my curiosity. Nor am I a big fan of strict constructionism. I am just tired of having a mind that is "too weak" to understand or imagine all the answers to the questions that I want to know.
Also, the fact that the KJV sorta through things off for everyone.

I am a Christian, and my biggest disappointment with Christianity is that people who claim to be believers don't follow the Bible. They tell and teach others lies, treat their neighbors badly, cheat on their spouses, abuse children, don't pray for the peace of Jerusalem, act arrogantly and divisively, don't put God first, etc. Of course nobody is perfect but if we connect with God we will NOT be the same people as before.
Then again the Bible says wolves will come in sheep's clothing, so I conclude these people who claim to know God are just deceiving themselves ... but not me. However, it's sad to know others are blind to this and accept their ways as being God's ways. It makes real believers look bad.

my biggest disappointment is I didnt find Christ soon enough. I wasted a lot of years before finding Christ. Thank God I have found the way. He delivered me from drugs and alchohol when no one else could. Praise the Lord I have my life now.

I am christian. My biggest disappointment is many of the Christians themselves. Using bits and pieces of what is in the bible to fuel hate. yet ignore other things.

Sometimes I think would like my prayers to be answered a little quicker; but it's all about Gods timing so I wait on Him. When I do everything always works out better that I could possibly imagined them too.

I don't think I focus on my religion. I focus on God. If you focus on your religion it will disappoint you because people will disappoint you.
No matter what church you attend you better make sure you are following God's word or you will be disappointed
