Haven't counted them recently. However there are people alive today with the gift of prophecy. I have heard a lady who is a prophet preach many times.

If Prophets were sent by God, wouldn't they agree? Unfortunately, they don't.

In the Qur'an there are only 25 mentioned. But it is also stated that there are other prophets which Allah did not want us to know about.

Hard to say, perhaps not as many as we think as opposed to those who claim they were sent by God

You are asking the impossible. If I give you the answer to your question before you ask it, then you will have the answer and there will be no need to ask me, and without your asking how can I possibly give the answer, although I do know the correct answer.

However, if you do ask your question, who is to be judge of my answer's veracity?

in a every age a hero or sage has risen to lead the way. Therefore
Number of ages is = to number of prophets.
The Bhagavad Gita says that whenever mankind has lost it's path God incarnates to lead them back.
I hope that helps.

I'd have to admit that I don't know. I'd have to go to the Bible and try to count them and see what I come up with. I guess there could have been some that are not listed too Anyway... .I don't think it matters very much.
