This seems to be the general idea I see being posted. Does it seem like a great divine plan when over 50% of the people on the chance have no chance to enter heaven? Billions of people throughout history have no knowledge of Christianity.
And through this, 100% of Muslims are hell-bound, (which is like 1.5 billion and not including throughout history), because they are aware of him but do not accept him as the Savior?
That seems....illogical
How about the remainder? People who are aware of him, but part of another religion (that isn't Islam). Why should the Christian God punish them for a cultural value that is instilled in them. Can you really expect a person to just know their religion, which has been around their culture for centuries is wrong, while yours is right?

"Anyone who has not accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior is on the road to hell. Period."
With that kind of attitude, is it any surprise why so many indigenous cultures resisted conversion. How do you show Christianity as a religion of love when you use fear tactics.

Most of these rationalizations are not very good...no offense. Most of these answers from Christians are inconsistent with each other

I almost was OK with Silver's answer except he said God is just. Assuming he's speaking of the same hateful, quick to anger and changing his mind brat deity who likes to contradict himself, A LOT, in the OT, I'm inclined to disagree.
Tell me, what's just about allowing evil to exist in the world and condemning a 'beloved' creation for disbelieving, when there is NO concrete evidence?
I know a Xian's favorite response is 'Look around you. How can you not think there is a creator?'
I look around me and I see no evidence of individuals, much less male individuals, spontaneously creating life and a universe for it to exist in, with no motivation at all.
I hardly see a loving father in a crack addicted baby or a stillbirth or in those suffering from a loved one's death or illness. I don't see 'Intelligent Creation' when a natural disaster wipes out a whole community or when someone as intelligent as Stephen Hawking's has a body like his.
As basic as their Hell is described in the NT, the Dali Lama and Hitler are going to the same place. Thinking about it and realizing for myself how illogical the religion is...that's what drove me away.

Jesus said "My sheep hear my voice."
The gospel breaches all cultural and societal boundaries.
Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father except by me." False religion says that there are many ways to God.
The question is not whether or not they know that their religion is wrong, it's whether or not they have the truth, because faith in Jesus Christ is not religion, it is truth. If the faith of Jesus Christ was religion, then all religions would say the same thing. They don't.
Do we believe what Jesus Christ said about himself, or do we believe what false religion says?

everyone is judged...those who do evil apart from knowing God's law will also perish apart from God's law. this is because evil is obvious to people, or at least it should be.
here is a good scripture that describes what i am talking about...
Romans 2:9-16 "There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.
All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

I believe that God inspires many different religions for a reason. God has never said, "Only Christians can get to Heaven". It's Christianity who has. People are fooled by religion competition in disguise.

Jesus said the good news of the kingdom would be preached in all the inhabited earth, and then the end would come. It did not say it would be preached to all individuals. Those interested in learning the truth have the avenue of prayer in all countries. And God will send someone to show them the way. Remember, Jesus said the gate to the way was narrow and few the ones finding it. The reason they aren't finding it is because they aren't looking. They are happy with what they currently have.

i don't think there is a "right" relgion, when a person is following God, (be the name Allah, or Yahweh or God....etc) i think that worshping God is what makes a diffrence...
The Tower of Bable (story about how so many diffrent languages came about) i think is the reason for the diffrent religions in the world. The names people in a religon call God are just apart of their language.

Everyone will be given a real chance to hear the truth and to accept it. Christ set up missionary work to the after He was crucified. I do not know exactly how it works, but I trust God that He knows what He is doing. Clearly He has a plan, and we should just worry about acting on what we know and not worrying about parts that don't matter to us.

thus far no one has ever proven that there was any moment in man’s history when the practice of defining virtue against vice did not exist. in the end, the distinction of “right” and “wrong” will be the basis for a man’s eternal damnation. hence, there is a critical need to proclaim the good news of the lord Jesus Christ to all men everywhere so that they might be saved from their self inflicted judgments.
God’s judgments are according to the facts of the specific situation. only God the creator truly knows the heart of man and therefore only he can judge his motives rightly
God is a just judge. the book of romans makes it abundantly clear that whatever religion we follow, whatever set of beliefs we hold to, whatever society and culture we are born into and raised in - we are justly condemned by our own actions. and God will judge us accordingly.
