Of course! In fact they would be welcome to new visitors curious about their religion!

Of course. Treat others as you would like to be treated, as they say -- and so show the same respect you would expect from someone who visits your own place of worship, or home if you don't go to church.

One or two things that might come in handy though. Some areas of mosques are restricted by gender as far as access is concerned. So ask if you have a woman visiting with you. Also, there are certain conventions common to many Arab Moslems, which might be unknown to you -- they're part of that culture, and should be respected. Do not sit in a way that you display the soles of your feet to someone else. Be careful about using your left hand, which many Moslems frown on -- this hand is traditionally considered to be used exclusively for personal hygiene. For goodness sake, if you go to a tea-room in a mosque, which they often have, don't take food with your left hand! Some more fundamentalist Moslems think dogs are as dirty as pigs, and will not tolerate having them around, no matter how domesticated. Don't take one to a mosque.

Other than that (and probably even if you unwittingly make a mistake), you'll probably be very well received and welcomed. One thing you might like to try is the "Hammam" or steam baths that many traditional mosques offer. Sometimes they even have masseurs, who do a fantastic job, very different to what we in the West are used to!

Certainly. Muslims tend to be very welcoming, especially if you go to a Sufi place. People really have some misconceptions about others' religions....

Ignorance is the least attractive human characteristic.

In the early years after Mecca was established by Muhammad, people of the "book", namely Jews and Christians, were granted a number of rights that guarded them against persecution. ---> Not all Muslims are trying to kill you and rob you of your liberties. haha

I went into the oldest mosque in The United Emirates. It was really cool. So I would say yes. Oh, but you have to put on one of those black cover things. Sorry I don't remember what they are called.

Oh, I am Christian.

Like any legitimate religion, anyone and everyone who respects the beliefs, and professes a willingness to learn is welcome.

Any religious group that would reject somebody, under these circumstances is actually a Cult.

Sure, why not. Just be respectful and stay in the visitors section so you don;t disturb the prayer line.

PS I assumed you meant mosque and had been corrected more the enough already.

Muslim call their worshipping place as a Mosque (Masjid). Most mosques welcome anybody to visit but, there are several rules before entering such as proper dressing.

A person can't call themselves a christian when they discriminate against others beliefs. That's a hypocrite.
