i want to buy my husband a good system for our tv.... it is a panasonic 42" flat screen plasma tv.... any suggestions?

Energy brand speakers regularly get high marks for value for money from reviewers and owners. Around $1000 should get you into a decent setup. For the receiver, consider getting one from Outlaw Audio; they sell factory-direct, which should result in them being better value.

Good is relative. What's your budget? put these features into order of importance.
Small size
nice looking
easy to use
powerfull, Loud
musical
reputable name brand.
