No because he only preaches part of the truth not the whole truth and thats like telling a lie. His method sounds wonderful but is very deceptive. Its like building your house on the sand... its foolish.... when the hard times come at you... you wont have the strength to stand.

Joel's doing what a lot of people want him to do, give them hope in the here and now. I can't really say that's gonna jive exactly with the Gospels and the Tradition of the Christian Church(es).

I don't care who's coming to preach...If they charge they are charlitans that don't deserve to wear the robe or take the mantle in the House of the Lord. How much money has Osteen contributed to causes that are in dire need? Don't waste your $$$...Better to donate it to the American Red Cross where it'll actually help someone in need. PEACE!

Eeewww...super creepy...I would demand to receive payment for listening to him - and you would have to tie me to the chair to make sure I live up to my end of the bargain.
His "gospel" is no Gospel - it's wishy-washy sentimentalism and Norman-Vincent-Pealesque "positive thinking" psycho-babble garbage.

I would rather spend the money on something far less painful and far more useful, like a root canal without pain killer...

Absolutely not. Is that supposed to be following in the foot steps of Christ?

the very essence of the problems inherent in religion is right in your question.
Can't I get a bottle of snake oil for my money instead?

You can watch him on tv--it's free.
Why do you have to pay? God's word should be available to anyone who wants to hear it for $0. Did Jesus charge admission?
