Yeah i was wondering how long is to long to be a virgin, cause i'm 17 & out of all of my friends only 6 of them(6 counting me) where the only virgins i know, and trust me whenn i say this, but i have alot of friends(not ot say that i'm popular cause i don't see my self as being that, though it's not to say that i'm not either),and we're all in the same age range of 17-19,except for those 5 & me everyone else has lost there virginity. So i was wondering about that cause trust me i don't want to stay virgin i'm kinda saving it for the right person yah know, and it's not like i'm shy or anything cause then i wouldn't have as many friends as i do now,so what do you guys think about that?

You have the right choice of saving it for the right person. It's never too long to stay a virgin in my opinion. If most of your friends lost it by 17, you should ask them if they even worried about pregnancy. Do they even know that a girl can get pregnant at any time, even during her period or right when it ends? Having intercourse that young has so many consequences that it scares me enough not to have it so i'm waiting until i get married or close to. Really, who wants to have a child when they aren't financially stable.
If you're not ready to do it, it's completely fine. A person never fully knows themselves until later on in their life when they know what they want, settled in, and have experience in the world.

There is no age when it comes to virginity. People make fun of 30/40 year old virgins but its no big deal. People are so eager to lose there virginity. Especialy 12 or 13 year old girls is just sad. People highlight it too much. Wait till your married that way you know its the right one. Most people who lose it early easily regreat it.

At 17 you really don't need to worry about still being a virgin. I think it's healthy to wait until you are in a serious relationship before you have sex. There are a lot of things you need to worry about when you are sexually active, STDs, pregnancy... Don't be in a hurry. =)

I wouldn't wait past thirty. But way to go at least you don't have to worry about any diseases or any other perks to having sex with someone who will only know for another year or so. I know so many people who have had unwanted teen pregnancys. Long story short. They are unhappy and married to he wrong person. Their is no hurry. it just takes once to screw up things.

I wouldn't worry about it... for a lot of people sex is just something to do and for others sex is something important that they want to save for people they really care about... just know that the longer you wait the more special it will be when you do lose your virginity... also I bet that some of the people you asked lied...

That's a very good decision and one that you'd always be proud of. Don't do it just for the heck of it. Only when you do it with full knowledge of the consequences will you be able to truly enjoy it.

If you're fine with being a virgin, good for you. If you want to have sex, go for it. Just don't have sex simply to stop being a virgin, and should it happen use protection.
