Poor Morgaine check your history books the same people founded that city which was later held by the Greeks { calling themselves Romans } what happened in 1453 AD came about because of the plague wiping out most of the population with so few to defend the city and no help from the Pope except 300 volunteers the city finally collapsed after a 2 year siege by the Ottoman empire { of course the Muslims had a black powder cannon which fired stones up to 1500 lbs in weight if I remember correctly ! } of course you wouldn't know who the Ottomen were would you ? They were originally from Asia and lead by the son of a very famous man the answer I will leave as a exercise of the student as you have enough of a clue to look it up for yourself instead of using the argument of ignorance and prejudice like the " Christians " here do ! remember knowledge is the best weapon if used properly !

In the Scriptures God declares that the earth and all it contains belong to Him and He said that in the final analysis it is He who raises a nation above another and it is He who brings it down. God will bless any nation that comes closest to honoring Him and what He stands for. Since ALL nations fall miserably short God chooses the one that comes the closest. He said "I will always have a remnant that will serve me". Remember God chose Israel to establish His legacy through but when Israel continually turned their backs on Him God would raise up a nation from the "heathens" to conquer them such as the Babylonians and the Egyptians. This is one of the reasons I am very concerned about the direction America is going, it is drifting further and further away from God.
